“Cheetah Blog” was born in a college dorm-room at a leading university in America. One young African tired of all the negative reporting on his continent decided to re-imagine, redefine and re-invent the portrayal of Africa in the media.  The Africa he read about in the main stream media was not the Africa he grew up knowing. He decided to set up a news portal on the web with a different viewpoint of Africa.  Simply put, the “Cheetah Blog” aims to be an “optimist Africa-centric forum”.

It aims in fact to be a new media Magazine on African affairs, and is mostly geared towards the rising Cheetah generation in Africa.

Good news from Africa is often drowned out by a tide of negative reporting. CheetahBlog aims to combat that by profiling the achievements of leading young Africans as well as African successes in general by aggregating the “good news” in Africa. Cheetah Blog will always fight the urge to report negatively on Africa, because there is too much good happening to ignore.

Ultimately, Cheetah is all about the gospel of Africa!
